Welcome to the Rescue

Who is SDBHR?

San Diego Basset Hound Rescue became an established non-profit organization in 1999 by founder Jerri Caswell, whose heart and vision was of rehabilitating and rehoming basset hounds in need. Today we are still carrying on that vision, but as times have changed, so too, must we. Social media has changed how we can network to become more widespread of an organization. It has changed how we can work with other rescues for the greater good of dogs in need. We are much more connected in helping than we ever been before.

Today, we have rebranded our organization to create a new look and feel in the media. We are putting together a team to bring social awareness to SDBHR.  We hope that you will join us in our vision to continue to do what we can for San Diego Basset Hounds as well as families who come to for help with their needs of rehoming as well as those looking for a basset to fill their hearts. If you'd like to help the rescue, please let us know. You can call, email, or reach out to us via our social media platform, Facebook.
